ANTON'S CAUSE OF DEATH
Hint #1 Look at Anton’s Autopsy Report in the NCID Database. If you’re struggling to find the password, check the NCID Database Hints.
Hint #2 We can see that the cause of death was cardiac arrest due to digitalis poisoning. Where have we seen this before?
Hint #3 Looking at Edmund’s letter, he included a magazine article. The article discusses the dangers of foxglove, also known as digitalis. How long does the article say it takes for the poison’s effects to occur?
Hint #4 It takes one hour from the consumption of the poison for the effects to take place. What time did Anton collapse at the party? Read Edmund’s and Beatrice’s police interviews, as well as Felix’s witness statement, to see if their timings match.
ANSWER Three people have stated that Anton collapsed around 8:30 PM, which checks out. Since we know it takes one hour for the poison to take effect, Anton must have consumed the poison at 7:30 PM.
